Perspective varies between people.

A spider can be a small bug to one person and an angry monster to another. To the first person; why someone would be terrified of a small, tiny creature must seem unimaginable. It is only the size of a finger…if that!

The Rock Pile

Sliding on by!

Years ago, I stayed in Laguna Beach and resided right behind the Rock Pile. So every afternoon, I would come back from Trestles or Newport and take a spin for some relaxation before calling it a day.

To me, it was nothing. I surfed the place from 2 feet to 10 feet.  I knew every rock and every way to get around them. I would look down at the rocks a few scant feet below my feet and smile. The kelp would pull across the jagged rocks revealing bright orange Garibaldi fishes that would dart back and forth through the crevasses.

Your View

We all live different experiences and come from different environments. Expecting people to see the world the way you do can only end in failure and frustration. I can not expect people to be comfortable sliding over submerged boulders in front of a cliff just as someone can not expect me to feel comfortable operating a cash register with a line of impatient customers.

Our differences are what makes the world move forward.

One Response to Perspective

Amen. Wish people would think on and realize this more. It would make for a better world with happier people!
