Noise to Note! #21

It was almost 20 years ago??? I heard a song that came on the radio that had a strange singer pining over a guitar belting out a feed back infused riff. Was this a woman singing or a man?

“A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better,
My friend confessed she passed the test,
And we will never sever”

Later I saw the video. The song I liked was being belted out by a waifish guy in drag. After hearing other songs, I decided that talent is talent, no matter the package it was delivered in. The lyrics spoke of off-balance relationships and issues…lots of issues.  This band became a frequent intruder in my CD player.

Here is another song called “Slave to the Wage”.  I think we can all relate to this one.

It’s a maze for rats to try
It’s a race.   A race for rats.
A race for rats to die
