Noise to Note! #41

It’s a bit on the cool side here in Florida and I was thinking of my home away from home, Hawaii.

I was also thinking of surfing and performance. How simple a surfboard is yet with one simple tool under your feet; one can do such glorious things.

We don’t need much to create something that can change the world. Even a pen and a simple sheet of paper.

Troy Fernandez is a member of The Ka ‘au Crater Boys. The Crater Boys were featured on my very first Noise to Note! when I was doodling on where to take my foray into music.  As for Troy, this is him performing at a small festival with his ukulele. A simple instrument and yet he creates wonderful music with it. His solo shows what he can make the instrument do.

The second video is the same song performed by the original band sung in traditional Hawaiian.

The version from the Ka ‘au Crater Boys:

Aloha and have a warm weekend!
