Noise to Note! #42

I woke up today and really just wanted to post a song that gave me a certain feeling. So I began to watch videos. Lots and lots of videos. I found a lot of gems but they just did not do anything for me.

Then I just switched gears. Think of what you did as a teen, Steve? What would come on and make you get some kind of feeling? Then up popped my selection for today.

To be honest the video stinks and it should. That is because some person dubbed this off a television and later dubbed it from some clunky VHS tape to digital. I never knew this video even existed! It is hooky; but to see the kids with their crazy ’80’s hair and clothes, I felt like it was a mirror on how I used to look myself.

Agent Orange is an oddity. When you are somewhat like one genre and somewhat like another; you are going to get tossed into one box or the next. They played surf music, rock, and were somewhat a hardcore band but they were tossed into the label of being hardcore. Good is good and soon they were embraced by many. The label however kept them from being discovered by the public at large.

They also put on one of the coolest shows I have ever seen. The played on a giant half-pipe and they had pro skaters riding while they played live.

So…here is Agent Orange. Fire in the Rain.
