Noise to Note! #78

An old clip of The Rolling Stones playing Gimme Shelter.

It is interesting how some bands when the play on television choose to either lip-sync or play live or even a combo of the two. Mick always seemed to sing live over the tracks and this performance was no different.

I also am a fan of some of the Shoegazing bands from the 90s and bands such as The Stone Roses. You can see how much some of them were influenced by the Stones.

Funny, I have the classic rock station on as I read this and “Angie” is on. I must be having a Stones kind of day.

I like to wander all over the place…synth pop, ambient, grunge, folk, but the same has been happening with me. Last night on the way home from work they played Shattered and the night before they played Street Fighting Man. I took that as a sign! Ha ha!

  2. Hi! Great video! I had never seen it before. I loved Mick Jagger’s dancing. Ha, ha! 😀
